Obituary of Betty Carol Abraham

Betty Carol Abraham’s passing, on Saturday, December 13, 2003 at the age of 66 years of cancer, brought a year-long journey of illness to a merciful end. Born in Bonnyville, AB, Betty leaves Doug, her loving husband of thirty-two years, and their daughter Penny of BC, as well as her mother Ann Goldberg; sisters, Lil Mann of Winnipeg, Helen (Jack) McCarthy of PEI, and Lila (Gerry) Neufahrt of BC, as well as ten nephews and nieces. Betty was predeceased by her twin brother Benjamin shortly after their birth; her dad Ben, a brave World War II frontliner; and sister Julie Thomson. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.), on Thursday, December 18, 2003 at 2:30 P.M. Simpson; to all the nurses, especially Nancy, and the one who gave Betty the relaxation tape that provided some daily comfort; and to all the home care workers, especially Barbara, R.N., and Pamela. It is great comfort to those who loved Betty so dearly that she was able to pass away peacefully at home with family at her side.
