Obituary of Wayne G. A. Simmie

Wayne Simmie, beloved husband of Susan Simmie of Calgary passed away at the Rockyview General Hospital on Friday, December 5, 2003 at the age of 57 years. Wayne was born July 20, 1946 in Winnipeg, MB. His greatest loves were his family, golf, his golf buddies, and his dogs. Wayne will be remembered for his kind and generous heart, great strength of spirit, and overwhelming sense of calmness. He was “the rock” for all of us, and he will be greatly missed. Wayne is lovingly remembered by his wife and life mate Susan (nee Bird), daughter Alisa (Shaun) Harrison and son Jarod, all of Calgary. He is also survived by his best friend of thirty-five years, Ray Bean of Calgary, three sisters Carol (Marshall) Korchinsky of Wabamun, AB, Sandy Simmie (John McGraw) of Stoney Plain, AB, and Debbie Simmie of Surrey, BC; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Wayne was predeceased by his parents Wilma and Murray Simmie.
