Obituary of Hugh Cecil Boucher

Hugh Cecil Boucher of Calgary, passed away peacefully at the Bethany Harvest Hills on Wednesday, December 3, 2003 at the age of 92 years. Hugh lived in Calgary since coming to Canada with his family in 1912, from London, England. He had a long and successful career with Crown Trust Company. After retirement, Hugh worked with the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation until 1993. Over his lifetime he had been associated with the Alpine Club of Canada, the Calgary Tennis Club, the Anglican Church, the Kiwanis Club and the Ranchmen’s Club. Hugh’s many interests included golf, curling, chess and his lifelong passion, bridge. Hugh is lovingly remembered by his daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Bill Croot; grandchildren Kevin and Stephanie; brother Vivian (Freda) Boucher, sister-in-law May Boucher; and his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Gertrude in 1990, his brothers Ken and Leslie, and sister Mary.
