Obituary of James Harvey Smith

James Harvey (Jim) Smith, beloved husband for fifty-nine years of Eva Smith of Calgary, passed away peacefully with his wife and children at his side, at the Rockyview General Hospital on Monday, December 1, 2003 at the age of 86 years. Jim was born August 29, 1917 near Swift Current, SK, and farmed in Saskatchewan before moving to Calgary with his family in 1958. He had worked for Massey-Ferguson for thirty-two years. Jim was a devoted father to Vicki of Calgary, Wendi (Dave) Ferrero of Nanaimo, BC, Patti (Dennis) Wildey, and Kelli (Jessie) all of Calgary. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Jim (Jodi), Josh (Benny), Tyler, Traci (Dave), Michelle, Jennifer, Kassi, and Keri; six great-grandchildren; two brothers; two sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by his son Rick, two granddaughters, Sheila and Shelli; two sisters and six brothers.
