Obituary of Peggy McAuliffe

Peggy McAuliffe, beloved wife of Mike McAuliffe of Calgary, passed away at the Agape Hospice on Tuesday, December 2, 2003 at the age of 76 years. Peggy was born in Omaha, NB in 1927, was married in Omaha in 1947 and moved to Calgary with her family in 1965. She was very active in Christ Lutheran Church and was a source of joy and inspiration to the congregation. She was a long time volunteer at the Bethany Care Centre and Mayfair Nursing Home. Peggy also worked part time at Heritage Park for the last twenty years. She touched so many lives with her love and friendship and was always there to lend a hand or give support whenever needed. Peggy’s great faith in our Lord and her positive outlook was reflected in her life. She always had a hug and prayer for everyone and will be lovingly remembered by family and friends. Peggy is survived by her husband, Mike of Calgary, her children, Kathy (Chuck) Boutland of High River, Mike McAuliffe and Karen Garside, both of Calgary; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her identical twin sister, Rose Bowers of Palmyra, NJ. Funeral Services will be held at Christ Lutheran Church (4211 Richmond Road S.W.) on Saturday, December 6, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. To forward condolences go to www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
