Obituary of Inez Pawlak
Inez Pawlak of Calgary, passed away at the Bow View Manor on Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at the age of 83 years.
Inez was born on March 8, 1920 in Burstall, SK. She completed high school in Maple Creek, SK; and was active in many sports, especially women’s softball, traveling throughout Saskatchewan and Alberta. She married John Pawlak on July 14, 1942 in Medicine Hat, AB. During World War II she lived and worked in Barrie, ON for much of the time. Upon John’s return from the war, they moved to Medicine Hat, moving to Calgary shortly after. Inez had a long career in administrative management with Pacific 66 which later became Petro-Canada. She loved to do needle point, petit point, other crafts and cooking.
Inez is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Nadine Pawlak; a grandson Evan; sister Edna Handford of Coquitlam, BC; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Maggie, her brother Jim, and her husband John.
