Condolences
I am truly sorry to hear of the family’s loss. He was truly a great
man and will be missed by every one who knew him.
Iris and the entire Mathews family
We are both saddened by the passing of Uncle Dick/Jim ( I never could figure out which was correct). Uncle Dick was a great friend and a fantastic uncle. He was a great story teller and had some many things to share. Uncle Dick could always put a smile on your face or to make you laugh. He will be missed
Love always

Dear Iris and Family,
I was saddened to hear of Dick’s passing. I will forever remember his colourful suits and discussions, and will miss his presence at family events. I can still see him and our dad at Dean and Adele’s dining room table. May you find comfort in all your fond memories at this difficult time.
With love and prayers,
Annette Valerio and family

Iris and Mathews Family
Our prayers and thoughts are with you all at this time of sorrow. We remember fondly the picnics all the families shared and the beautiful art work he produced. I remember fondly spending time with Uncle Dick looking through all the photo albums he took pride in creating. He had the most beautiful smile and laugh. He was such a comfort to us when my mother, his sister Georgina passed away. I remember how he helped my dad pick out clothes to wear ( very bright colourful ones I might add). Certainly a stretch for dad (Uncle Bob Main). He even would go to junior football games with dad and the stories they would tell. My family and I will remember him with fondness and kindness. Our deepest sympathies and condolences to all.
Dear Iris and all the Mathews ,
We are saddened that Uncle Dick has passed and we send all of you our heartfelt sympathy. He was a very unique and wonderful man who lived life to the fullest. He will be missed, but the memories he gave us will be with us forever and continue to bring smiles to our faces and more importantly light to our hearts.
So sorry to hear of your loss. I have many fond memories of this talented man with a great sense of humor.
Sincerely,
Jane Chapman

To Iris and all the Family; On the passing of Richard may the sympathy of others and the precious memory of your loved one help to comfort you at this time. Deepest condolences, Ora
An incredible individual who knew how to get the most out of life. Dick’s ability to spin a story out of life’s experiences will be remembered as Legendary. His passion for reading kept him current in all things related to Politic, Economics, Military and Science and he was never shy about giving his well thought out opinion on any of those topics. I was fortunate to have had some great discussions with Dick and those I’ll dearly miss.
Smooth Sailing Commander
With Great affection
Jim
