Obituary of Oscar Frederick REINHARDT

June 6, 1929 – Didsbury, Alberta May 5, 2017 – Calgary, Alberta Oscar, beloved husband of Fay Reinhardt (nee Rothwell) of Calgary, passed away on May 5, 2017 at the age of 87 years. Oscar lived life to the fullest. His larger than life character left an impression on all he met. After growing up and working on the family farm in Didsbury, he moved to Calgary and worked for many years as a surveyor across Western Canada before owning his own seismic company, and finally retiring at 78. Oscar loved being outside, particularly spending time at the family cabin at Chestermere Lake and camping and boating in the Okanagan. He was happiest surrounded by family and friends, with a cookie in hand and a story to tell. Oscar is survived by his loving wife, Fay Reinhardt; children, Sheryl Reinhardt (Philip Lijdsman) and Heather Reinhardt (Kevin Kwok). A Celebration of Life for Oscar will be held at McDougall United Church (8516 Athabasca Street SE) on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 2 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
