Obituary of Ellen CHESHIRE

CHESHIRE, Ellen (nee McDonnell) 1924 – Blackridge, Scotland 2017 – Calgary, Alberta It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mom, Ellen Cheshire at the age of 92 years on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at the Bethany Care Centre, in the Rainbow Terrace, where she had made friends with many of the residents and staff. Ellen will always be lovingly remembered by her three daughters Joanne Johnson (Rob), Janis, and Jill. She is also survived by her sister Patricia Boon, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition, she is survived by her little friend Neve. Ellen was predeceased by her husband, Reyn; and her younger sister, Olive. Ellen was born in Blackridge, Scotland. She came to Canada with her parents and her sister, Patricia. Ellen will always be remembered for her kind and generous heart as well as her fun loving sense of humour. She loved to travel, especially her trips to Scotland, England and Las Vegas with her daughters and sister. Ellen loved sports too. She enjoyed golfing, curling and bowling. She especially enjoyed cheering for the Calgary Flames and Toronto Blue Jays. We wish to thank all of the wonderful and caring staff, including Dr. Addison in the Rainbow Terrace for everything that was done for our mother, it was very much appreciated.
