We want to express our great sadness at Meg’s passing and let you know that a special light of energy, joy and kindness has left this earth a lesser place. We remember Meg for her abundant spirit and ‘can do’ spirit. She had true hospitality, generosity and always included others in her world.

Doug, we send you and your sons our love and our hope that as time goes by your sadness will be replaced with peacefulness and happy, even funny memories of Meg / Mom. We enjoyed our brief visit with Meg so many years ago in West Vancouver.

Arlene, Doug and family,
My condolences on this sad news. I remember Meg as a vibrant, intelligent, fun loving young woman. My thoughts are with you at this time.
Doug, Mitchell, Eddie and Joey,
Our deepest condolences on the passing of dear Meg. Her light shone so brightly from within, and now from afar.
We are thinking of you all during this difficult time.
I am sorry to hear of Meg’s passing. My wife’s battle with glioblastoma ended in room 13 during the early part of Meg’s stay at Rosedale. I met Meg, and many in her family. My 18 year-old twins met hers. I understand all too well the pain your are feeling. May you find peace through the tears. May you forever be grateful for each day she lived. May you continue to live your lives knowing the preciousness, fragility, and marvelousness of each detail we have been granted the opportunity to experience in this world.
I was so sad to hear of Meg’s passing. Meg and I played basketball together at Mt. Royal College. We became really good friends during that time. She was a great athlete, but more importantly she was a kind and caring friend. I always thought Meg was so beautiful, both inside and out. The world has lost a beautiful soul. My sincere condolences to her family.
So saddened and sorry to hear of Meg’s passing. To all of her family and friends are sincere condolences. RIP Meg.

Such a beautiful young life gone from this earth…….no not really. Meg remains with us in so many ways. She will live on in our memories in all the kind and gentle things she did and the three young men who survived her. These things give me some comfort and I hope all her family. Arlene, Joe and Family:
We are so saddened for the passing of your daughter and sister Megan. You are all so blessed to have had Meg in your lives; she was truly one of a kind daughter and sister. Arlene, I remember many times you professing the major accomplishments of the young daughter at St. Mary’s; but most remember your pride in your daughter and her successes. May I say, those of your whole family as well. She will be well loved and remembered by all who knew her as Mom, Daughter and Friend. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family in this a truly sad time, knowing God will comfort those who grieve. Bob and Candy Jordan
Our love and condolences to Meg and Doug’s families and especially her children. Meg is loved by so many and her life is a gift to so many.

Meg was and will remain a pillar of strength and inclusion. Meg will be missed by all. On the eve of the Bishop High school reunion it is impossible not to align Meg with the school where she taught me about great sportsmanship. Her character, spirit and cross sport skills were always inspirational.
Meg was my friend and confidant in high school. She was sunshine on a cloudy day. Love and healing to her boys and thanks to her family for raising such an amazing person. Raise a glass to Meggy, you’ll be missed! Til we meet again my friend.

We were very fortunate to get to know Meg, if only for a short time, and later getting to know more of her by getting to know her sons Eddie and Joey. She brought a mom’s love and enthusiasm to every time we saw her at the arena. Her boys are a legacy to her love of life, resiliency beyond imagine. We get to know a lot of parents through billeting, but rarely do we meet someone who did her job of preparing her boys for their futures with such love. Our hearts love and prayers go to the May family at this time.

Our thoughts and prayers go to the May and McGinn families. Meg was a friend and bridesmaid to me and though we didn’t see each other much we always stayed in touch. She was that friend. Many happy memories at UBC with Linda Wilson and Donna Hunter. I love you Meg McGinn and I will always remember our long chats into the night. Be at peace my friend and rest easy – you have left a great mark on the world. Love Jacquie (Miller) Hansen.
My deepest sympathies on the passing of Meg. I will always remember her smile and laughter.
Mrs. McGinn and all the family,
So very sorry to read this — Meg was called home too early… faith is a gift, they say.

The Burke-Gaffney family
Our deepest sympathies go out to Doug and his children on their loss.
Meg will be dearly remembered.

What a privilege to have met and gotten to know Eddie and Joey.
They spoke very highly of their Mom, and lived and played hockey to honour her life.
May God hold you all in His loving care.

I will never forget you Meg, we had good times on the slopes, in Hungary, on Salt Spring and in Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto. May your spirit sore forever. Love Fran
