Obituary of Alvin Edward RICHARDS

May 9, 1937 – Calgary, Alberta April 8, 2017 – Calgary, Alberta Alvin (Al) Richards of Calgary, AB passed away at the Foothills Hospital on April 8, 2017 at the age of 79. Al, a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather, always treasured the company of his extended family, friends and business colleagues. A native Calgarian, he was an enthusiastic Calgary sports fan, tourism promoter, and long serving member of the Calgary North Hill Lions Club. Funeral services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Make a Child’s Dream Come True (contact calgarynorthhilllions.ca) a special charity near and dear to Al’s heart. The family wishes to thank the medical staff and volunteers at the Foothills and Rockyview Hospitals for their care and compassion during Al’s recent stays.
