Obituary of Mary Margaret RUTLEDGE

November 8, 1930 – Thomastown, Kilkenny, Ireland March 24, 2017 – Calgary, Alberta Mary Margaret (Whelan) Rutledge, wife of the late Albert John Rutledge, passed away peacefully at Rockyview Hospital, at the age of 86 years. Mary was the middle child of fifteen Mary, Albert and their two sons immigrated to Canada from London, England in the summer of 1967. They visited Expo 67 in Montreal, and travelled East to West across Canada by train. They came to love Calgary and especially the mountains. Mary is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Eamonn and Christine Rutledge, Barry and Janet Rutledge and is the proud grandmother of four Christopher, Alexandra, Cara and Megan. Mary faced her battle with cancer with great dignity and independence. Mary was always thankful to her friends and neighbors Linda, Roland and Ana for their kindness and great support. Thank you to Dr. Bebb, Dr. Nitchke and the staff of Unit 72 for all their care and compassion.
