Obituary of Toni Arlina HOLLOWAY

December 11, 1999 – Calgary, Alberta February 21, 2017 – Morley, Alberta It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved, beautiful, kind soul Toni Arlina (YaYa) Holloway on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the age of 17 years old. Toni was our loving daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter, cousin and coolest auntie. She will be missed by all who knew her kindred personality and the endless hugs. Her love was equal to all family, friends and her cherished pets. Toni enjoyed school and extracurricular activities at the Morley Community School where she attended. She enjoyed dancing jingle dress and singing round dance songs and loved everything about our native culture. She loved to bake and was an avid player of video and card games. During the summer you would find her at Grandpa Horace’s playing volleyball and bringing life to everyone around her. Toni enjoyed camping at the annual hunt camp at Mountain Aire Lodge. Toni participated in the Morley Cadets Program and attained a Corporal status. She had a wonderful sense of humour that was very infectious and will be dearly missed. The family would like to extend a special Thank you to the Nakoda and Exshaw Ems, Exshaw fire department and Cochrane RCMP. Toni was raised by her special adoptive mom, Ora Baptiste whom loved and cared for in most of her 17 years. She will be greatly missed by her parents Lowerania (Clint), Wyatt. Siblings Trisha (Silas), Tori, Samuel, Calvert, Tashana, Jewels, Karalene. Adopted sisters and brothers, Justin (Kalena), Tisha, Deanna (Maverick), Elana (Blair), Hope (Dale), Kathy. Maternal Grandfather Horace Holloway. Paternal Grandparents Dallen and Mary Jane Beaver. Adopted Grandmother Irene Baptiste. Extended families from the Beaver, Baptiste, Chiniquay, Daniels, Ear, Goodstoney, Holloway, Labelle, Mark, Powderface, Rider and Snow. We apologize if we have missed anyone. Toni was predeceased by her maternal grandmother Arlene Holloway. Brother Wyatt Jr. Uncles Tony H, Terry H, Ben H, Leo H and Amos Axe. Adopted Father Marcel Baptiste. Adopted brothers Nathan W and Christopher S. On the paternal side of the family she was predeceased by John H Sr, Helen B, Gordon H, Nat H Jr. Wake Services will be held at the residence of Ora Baptiste (Morley, AB) on Saturday, February 25, 2017 and Sunday February 26. Funeral Services will be held at Bearspaw Youth Centre (Morley, AB) on Monday, February 27, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Old Bearspaw Cemetery (Morley, AB).
