Obituary of Benjamin Kyle FAULKNER
December 3, 1979 – Sault Ste Marie, Ontario
December 15, 2016 – Calgary, Alberta
Ben beloved husband of Melody Faulkner (nee Landry) of Calgary, AB, passed away suddenly on December 15, 2016 at the age of 37 years.
Ben dedicated his life to helping others; from his early years working with special needs children, to his 13-year career as a registered nurse. In his personal life, he was a humanitarian and dedicated vegetarian for over 18 years. An avid traveler, Ben spent many years backpacking all over the world. He also loved being in nature; enjoying things like snowboarding, camping and hiking with his family. Ben was a sports and movie fanatic who enjoyed cuddling his precious little girls watching NFL football and princess movies or the latest TV series. At family gatherings, you could always find him winding up his numerous nieces and nephews, enjoying every second of them. More than anything, Ben was a fiercely devoted father and husband who would have done anything for his family. Although nothing will ever fill the empty space he leaves behind, he will always live on through the legacy of his girls, the lives he touched through his selfless work, and the memories we all hold in our hearts.
Ben is survived by his wife Melody; two beautiful baby girls, Isabelle and Evelyn Faulkner; his loving parents, Steven and Gail Faulkner of Alberta Beach; sister, Laura and brother-in-law, Curtis Bueckert of Fort St John; sister, Jessica Barnsdale of Grand Prairie; sister and brother-in-law, Megan and Kyle Fleming of Spruce Grove; brother, Thomas Faulkner of Edmonton; sister and brother-in-law Kyla and Marvin Bergen of Fort St John. He will also be remembered by numerous cherished nieces and nephews; as well as his extended family.
