Obituary of George Anthony MORCOS

December 11, 1938 – Jerusalem December 7, 2016 – Calgary, AB George Anthony Morcos passed away on Wednesday December 7, 2016 at the age of 77 to be with our Lord and Saviour. During his last days on earth, George was surrounded by family and friends and went in peace with heartfelt goodbyes, his hands held tightly by his wife and daughters. George will be sadly missed by his family especially by Helen, his loving wife and best friend of fifty-three years; their children, Annette Morcos, Tony and Dalia Morcos, Claudine and Mathieu Cousineau, Myrna and Darren Curran; and grandchildren, Jonathan, Juliana, Mikayla, Joshua, Madison and Madeline. George is also survived by his sisters Charlotte and Georgette, and his brother Peter. Born in Jerusalem in 1938, George’s kindness, good heartedness, great sense of humour and joy for life will be forever remembered. The most important thing to George was his family and friends. Being generous meant that he always had plenty to share at gatherings in his home with lively discussions and the telling of many jokes. George loved to travel, whether a long plane ride or the odd road trip, but life was filled with adventures. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on what would have been his 78th birthday, Sunday, December 11, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
