Obituary of David Wayne MACINTYRE

MACINTYRE, David Wayne April 15, 1979 – Sydney, Nova Scotia November 25, 2016 – Calgary, Alberta We are profoundly saddened by the death of our son David MacIntyre, taken far too soon at the age of 37 years. David had been under medical attention for over 3 years, none of which was easy on him, but he pulled through. His latest setback proved to not be in his favor. David was a quiet and somewhat shy individual, with life-long friends BJ, Jenny, Chris, and Paul, friendships that, they should know, David cherished. David was a fulltime employee with Coca Cola for many years and made many more friends while there. Although shy in nature, he was always up for a good time; the first to arrive and the last to leave. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need and his kindness will be missed by many. David had a very special bond with his only sibling Matthew. They worked together and had a lot of bonding time after work, with many Flames games paired with a few cold beers, cheering on the team. He also thought the world of his sister-in-law Carrie. David was blessed just two and a half months ago with a beautiful baby boy, Mason Carl. It is heartbreaking that he will not get to see him go to school, play baseball, or get his drivers license. Mason will always have his father watching over him. Besides his parents, Gerard and Jeannette MacIntyre, the mother of his child and spouse, Tammy Spencer and step-daughter Rebecca are beyond distraught with grief and are trying to cope like us all. We would like to thank Dr. Simon Hudy, whom David thought the world of, for his kindness and support during their many appointments. We would also like to thank Dr. Jason Chow and most recently Dr. George Vitalie. The days ahead will be heart wrenching and numbing, to say the least. David, you left us too soon. We can’t get you back, but you left us with cherished memories and a void in our lives. You are now with Sis and Nanny and there will not be a day in our lives that you you will not be there. We pray you are happy and healthy as you once were, with no more worries about what you dealt with here. Rest in peace and until we meet again, good night.
