Condolences
It was a pleasure getting to know Sue during the last few years, after the merge of our TierOne offices. I worked in head office but tried to visit Airdrie as often as possible, since Sue and the others there were so welcoming. She will be dearly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
With sincere sympathy to Sue’s family, from one of her Collie friends, Joan Bulger, Drumlin Perm.Reg’d. Rough and Smooth Collies.
Doug, we were so saddened to hear about Sue. Barb and I have fond memories of Sue’s frank, honest comments and humour at company Christmas parties etc. I hope you will continue with her love of travel and will get to see the rest of the world, as she would have wished.
James and family, my sincere condolences in the loss of your mother and wife. I know how close you were to her James and I hope you find peace and comfort during this difficult time.
Best Wishes!
Doug, Andrew, Ian, Robyn and Barr Family,
We were shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Sue’s sudden death.
I was so very fortunate, Sue not only recommended me for a job at Mobil Oil, but trained and mentored me. She made a positive difference in so many lives and will be greatly missed.
Our thoughts and deepest sympathy are with you.
My sincere sympathy to the Thomson family. I had the pleasure of knowing Sue in the world that she loved, travel. She will be missed by our industry and colleagues. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Eternal rest grant unto Sue, O Lord
And let perpetual light shine upon her
May she rest in peace, Amen.
Karen Fairbairn (Glenbracken Collies)
I was very blessed as Sue and I were very close friends for many years, enjoying our Collies together and as well, a personal sisterhood. I loved her as a friend and as a “sister”. She was always there for me whether to console, offer wisdom or kick butt, and I always knew I could count on her. As time passed we had less and less contact but she was, and always will be, close to me in my heart. She was a wise and kind person who did not suffer fools gladly, and her love of her collies and her willingness to help others stands out for me.
My heart goes out to Doug and Andrew and Ian – you were so blessed to have such a wife, companion and mother and I know that only time and love will heal the pain you feel.
Our deepest sympathy goes out to Doug, Andrew, Ian and Robyn, and all of Sue’s friends and family. Sue was always warm, generous, and ready to see the best in people. We feel privileged to have known her, and will miss her immensely.
Sue, my friend and Collie mentor, was a great human being, with a generous spirit, compassion, an open heart, and a strong sense of responsibility. She fought the good fight, and stood up for those who were vulnerable or in need. She offered her help without hesitation, and cared for all. The world is a better place for her having been here. I will dearly miss her, and always remember her kindness to me, and her thoughtfulness, knowledge, and wisdom. She would have been met at the Rainbow Bridge by Collies, animals, and loved ones. Natives believe that you need to have an animal vouch for you to enter Heaven. Sue would have had a multitude paying homage to her. My sincere sympathies for Sue’s family and friends in your loss and sorrow.
