Obituary of Carol Florence McGOVERN

April 14, 1946 – Calgary, AB November 4, 2016 – Calgary, AB Our world has lost a bright light, Carol McGovern beloved wife of Thomas for nearly fifty years, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2016 at the age of 70 years. Carol is survived by her loving husband Thomas; her children and their spouses, Thomas Jr. and Lisa McGovern and Shawna and Ron McGovern-Burke; and her cherished grandchildren, Katie, Carolynn, Eric and Chet. Carol’s love of life, her world travels, golfing at Willow Park in Calgary and Desert Island in Rancho Mirage, CA; as well as spending time with family especially during special dinners and her gracious entertaining with her close friends will not be forgotten. Carol’s wishes were that there would be no funeral; a cremation has taken place and a private family memorial will be held at a later date.
