Obituary of John Henry HAMMER

May 7, 1925 – Coleman, Alberta October 26, 2016 – Calgary, Alberta John Hammer, beloved husband of Beatrice Hammer of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on Wednesday, October 26 2016 at the age of 91 years. John was born on May 7, 1925 in Coleman, Alberta. He worked for Shell Canada as a steam engineer. John married Beatrice Peresinni on May 11, 1946 in Blairmore, Alberta. They shared a love of “rock hounding,” and would travel to collect rocks and turn them into beautiful jewelry. John also enjoyed cutting stones for jewelry design. Together, John and Beatrice enjoyed their time travelling, especially time spent in Hawaii. John is survived by his son’s and daughters-in-law, Kirk and Nancy Hammer, Carey and Dawn Hammer; grandchildren, Trevor (Melyssa), Adam (Chelsea), Tasha (Clayton), and Michael; step-grandchildren, Jessica (Miguel), Benjamin (Erin); nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
