Obituary of Linda Mae CURTIS

September 23, 1961 – September 30, 2016 It is with great sadness that the family of Linda Curtis announces her death at the age of 55. Linda died unexpectedly on September 30, 2016. Born in Edmonton, Alberta on September 23, 1961, she grew up in Calgary and attended Bishop Grandin High School and Langara College in Vancouver, British Columbia. For many years Linda was a resident of Canmore, Alberta and enjoyed living in the mountain community. Linda was a smart, beautiful woman with a very dry wit and a wicked sense of humour. She was gifted with a beautiful voice and loved music of all kinds. She was equally comfortable at the symphony or dancing at Ranchman’s. She was also a passionate cook. Always feisty, she was the glue in our family and loved each of us fiercely. Her death leaves an enormous hole in our family. She is survived by her children, Alexandra Curtis and Sam Coulter; as well as her siblings, Debra Voorheis, Charles Curtis and Douglas Curtis (Heather Moore). She will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews, Anne and Kate Voorheis, Curtis Millar, Christopher and Daniel Curtis and André Trudel. Her sudden passing is a loss to her many relatives in the McNamara and Curtis families. Linda was predeceased by her parents, Nora Curtis and William E. Curtis, after providing many years of dedicated caregiving to both of them. As well, she is predeceased by Tim Coulter, the love of her life. A Celebration of Linda’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY, (Park Memorial 5008 Elbow Drive S.W., Calgary, AB) on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
