Condolences
Rest in peace Joe. We will miss your jokes and humour when you came around to visit us at the store. From the staff at Beacon Safeway.
I am very sorry to hear of Joe`s passing. He was a loved and important part of my children`s early years and was the first grandfather figure in their lives. Joe often had a rather gruff presentation, but he also had a heart of gold – he never hesitated to offer to help when someone needed it. He will be missed by many people who counted him as a friend.
Joe desired nothing more than to put a smile on people’s faces. He did so with sincerity, not wanting anything in return. I met Joe when I took over Blue Bottle Pharmacy and I had the privilege to get to know on a daily basis for nearly two years. I don’t think he realized how much he impacted those around him in a positive way. It was a honor to call him a friend. Rest in peace.
When we met at the 4th street nw McDonald’s I would refer to him as “wee Joe” and we would have fun telling stories to each other. Joe was one of the happiest, most joyful guys I knew. The last time I saw him was when we met in Emergency Room at Foothills hospital in the spring. Joe was a kind man who we will not forget.
Dave, Mark, the staff at Blue Bottle Pharmacy and Joe’s family.
Our hearts and thoughts are with you all.
Joe will be happily remembered and sadly missed by
the Buckler and Buckler-McCulloch families.

Good bye Uncle Joe!
Still remember how you used to make me laugh when I was a little kid. How you came to visit us in St. Paul in your brand new black Pontiac Parisienne wagon and joked with my brother Pat and I about you and your buddy going out “hunting” You always had time for us even though the times we did see you were infrequent. Miss you man!
