Obituary of Viola Caroline KOVACS

November 14, 1915 – Tide Lake, Alberta August 11, 2016 – Calgary, Alberta It is with sorrow we announce that Viola passed away, peacefully, in the loving presence of her family. Viola is survived by Ted, her loving husband of 49 years; her sister, Cecile Paisley; her sister-in-law, Margaret Stadnicki; as well as many nieces and nephews. Viola was predeceased by her parents, Angela and Stanley; and her siblings Mike, Joe, Ed, Stella, Frances, Victor, Lenore, and Tom. Viola was a parishioner at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church and was a member of the CWL for 59 years. Before retiring she worked as the assistant director of human resources at the Holy Cross Hospital for twelve years. During her retirement she spent her time travelling with Ted and volunteering for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Cancer Society, Flowers of Hope, and Meals on Wheels. We are grateful for the kindness from the staff at Rocky View Hospital, South Health Campus, and Millrise Place, who have cared for Viola in recent years.
