Obituary of Susan Jane KINDER

November 13, 1946 – Winnipeg, MB August 4, 2016 – Calgary, AB Susan Jane Kinder, beloved wife of Brian Kinder of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully from natural causes on August 4, 2016 at the age of 69 years. Susan was born in Winnipeg, MB and received her early education in Calgary, AB at Viscount Bennett and The University of Calgary. She obtained her Master’s degree in Education from the University of Regina in 1992. She taught school in Calgary before raising a family and worked for the University of Regina supervising student teachers. She was a volunteer in school libraries and a member of book clubs in Regina and Edmonton. She was an excellent mother and wife. She supported her children in their school and competitive dancing and her husband in his activities in the business community. She took great pride in her family and worked hard to help them succeed in their aspirations. In retirement, she enjoyed time with her family and friends, swimming at the YMCA, gardening and winter travel to Arizona. Susan is survived by her husband Brian Kinder of forty-seven years; daughters Sara Kinder and Diana (Stuart) Parnell; brother Peter (Martha); sister Linda (Jim) Barrette; and granddaughters Audrey and Lucy. She was predeceased by her parents Don and Faye McDiarmid. At Susan’s request, no service will be held.
