Obituary of Roy Edward BALDICK

May 3, 1929 – Calgary, AB July 12, 2016 – Calgary, AB Roy Edward Baldick, beloved husband of Dolores of Calgary, passed away with his loving family by his side, on Tuesday July 12, 2016 at the age of 87 years. Roy was a born and raised Calgarian, married his wife and raised his family in the city he loved. He retired from the Calgary Board of Education after many years of service to his community as a sheet metal worker. Roy was a hard worker, he was always creating, and was often found carving in his workshop, or building additions to the summer cabin in Sicamous, BC. He spent his weekends boating and fishing with his two sons, and long summers at the cabin with those closest to him. His grandchildren were his pride and joy, never missing a birthday or soccer game, he was present for every Christmas with them. Roy was a man who always enjoyed the simple things in life; a true craftsman with a huge heart. He will be missed by all who knew him. Roy is survived by his wife, Dolores Baldick; Son, Stephen and daughter-in-law, Karon Baldick; Daughter-in-law, Jan Baldick; grandchildren, Adam and Rheanne Baldick, Amy and Tim Montgomery; great grandchild, Ryder Montgomery; Sister and Brother-In-Law, Doris and Johnny Potter. Loving husband, father and grandfather, predeceased by his son Gregory, they now rest in peace together. The family would like to thank the Bow View Manor staff for their compassion and care.
