Condolences
My condolences to the McIver family and all Louise’s loved ones. Her’s was a life well lived.
Sister Louise was principal at St. Mary’s in Medicine Hat in the 50’s when I attended elementary school there. I still remember her in her black habit hurrying through the halls attending to the business of the school. My deepest condolences to her family. God rest her soul
Over the past many years, I had the privilege of spending time with Louise during her visits to Port Hope, Ontario where her sister and my dear friend, Marilynn lives. Because she was Marilynn’s sister, Sister Louise…I affectionately called her S.S Louise. Louise was always up for fun and a good joke, so she received my silliness with her usual good humour. I enjoyed those times with the McIvor sisters and was so happy to be included.
Louise was always an inspiration. Her love of living life to the fullest, devotion to her family and community, forward thinking and service to others was amazing. Hearing about the gracious, full and tenacious way she lived in spite of the health challenges she experienced these past few years, has not only deepened my respect for her but also encouraged me and others to try and face life’s challenges with grace, humour, tenaciousness and hope.
My family and I send our love to all of Louise’s family and friends. Your grief is a measure of your love for Louise so we know it must be very, very deep. You are in our prayers.
Aunt Louise we love you to the moon and back. I know you are kicking your heels up
In Heaven
Spent many a good times with Louise. Her sense of humour and positive attitude inspired me.
Aunt Louise was a very special lady. She was kind, thoughtful and had a wonderful sense of humour and an incredibly positive attitude. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to have met her.
Love Dave, Dana, Mathew and Michael Dunne
Our deepest sympathy to the entire family of Sister Louise McIvor. The time has arrived to say your good-byes and to rejoice that Sister Louise has now made her way to her reward in Heaven. You will all miss her but are so much richer for having had her in your lives.
