Good Morning Donna and family. I have fond memories or our time together in Rosthern, Saskatchewan in the mid seventies. I was so sorry to hear of Mel’s passing and offer my most sincere condolences.
We remember Mel with much gratitude for his companionship to our father Stan Edmondson and his warm personality towards our family members. With much sympathy to his family, we are sure he will be dearly missed and remembered so fondly.
Mel and I were good friends and work together on WCB files. Often recalled our Northern service. Sorry for your loss.
I knew Mel when he and his family were posted to Kamsack Detachment. At the time I was the Sgt. at Punnichy, and from time to time Mel would call me to discuss mutual problems. I found his advice to very helpful, and I soon learned to respect his honesty and knowledge of the force. May he rest in peace!
Our condolences to Donna & Jim. I worked under Mel at Rosthern Det. Mel was a good Boss providing good leadership and he always had or made time for his crew when a one on one was required or requested. Sidebar …. Mel was the original paper recycler, there was no paper in the trash can beside his desk. Mel, you were a good person & a good friend.
Dear Donna.
I am so sorry to hear that Mel has passed away. Sadly, the older we get the harder it is to keep in touch.
4 days after Mel died, we had to have Doug enter a memory Care unit with Lewy Body Dementia. Will be grieving with you Donna.
