Obituary of Mark Peter JOHNSTON

December 25, 1971 – Toronto, Ontario May 30, 2016 – Calgary, Alberta It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Mark, beloved husband of Bhairvi (nee Topiwala), adored father of Maya (13) and Morgan (12), dear son of Robert and Joan, loving brother of Stephanie (Colin), and cherished uncle to 7 nieces and nephews, 2 great nieces, and a great nephew. Mark was born in Toronto, and grew up in P.E.I. He studied political science at the University of Prince Edward Island and civil engineering at SAIT. Mark was generous, charming, affectionate, free spirited, spunky and had an amazing sense of humor. Mark loved his family dearly. He was passionate about travelling with his family and playing rugby. So passionate about rugby, Mark was a constant figure at the Calgary Rugby Union. He had the reputation of being a warrior on the rugby field, and was known as “PIE” by his Hornets brothers. Mark loved coaching and supporting Maya and Morgan in everything they did. He filled our hearts with his love and compassion. Mark will be missed dearly and remembered forever. We love you Mark.
