Obituary of Vincenza Enza DALTON

DALTON, Vincenza “Enza” (Nee Mattina) October 29, 1964 – Agrigento, Sicily May 12, 2016 – Okotoks, Alberta It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Enza Dalton on May 12th, 2016, at the young age of 51 years after surviving a life-threatening stroke in 2010 and a long and courageous battle with cancer. Enza was born in Agrigento, a city on the southern coast of Sicily. As a toddler she and her family immigrated to New Brunswick where she later met her husband, Earl and they began their family. In 2007, Enza and Earl along with their children relocated and settled in Calgary, Alberta. As appreciated by all who were fortunate enough to know Enza, she was a stunning lady with a contagious laugh and infectious smile. She will always be remembered for her warmth, kindness, generosity and grace. While her passing devastates us, we are so grateful to have had her in our lives for the time we did. She will be forever loved and will always hold a special place in our hearts. Enza is survived by her husband of 31 years, Earl; her two children, Peter Dalton and Florence McMullen; father and mother, Carmelo and Serafina Mattina; sisters, Josie Mattina and Anna Buckley; brother, Joe Mattina; in-laws; nieces and nephews; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and an incredible group of close friends. Family and close friends in Calgary will be gathering privately to celebrate Enza’s life. In addition, family and friends are welcome to join Enza’s parents and siblings for a memorial service on Thursday May 19th, 2016 at 10:00am. The service will be held at St Mark’s Catholic Church (171 Pettingill Rd, Quispamsis, NB). We welcome condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
