Obituary of Madeline Theresa WARD

October 19, 1933 – Maple Creek, Saskatchewan April 24, 2016 – Calgary, Alberta It is with deepest sorrow the family announces the passing of Madeline Ward on April 24, 2016 at the age of 82 years. Born in Maple Creek Saskatchewan, Madeline was raised in Wayne AB. Growing up, Madeline was very close to her siblings and other extended family. Here she met and married her future husband, Ken Ward. Together they raised 9 children. Madeline’s love was her family; they meant the world to her. The gathering place growing up was the Ward house as Madeline enjoyed having her children and their friends around. She loved the antics of the kids, they kept her young. Family gatherings were also important, be it with just her immediate family or a larger gathering with the extended family. Madeline also loved her music, her game shows and her gossip magazines. She loved going to Co-op to see her friends, it always made her smile when she would go to Co-op to see them. Madeline was a social person and will truly be missed by all she touched. Madeline is survived by her children, Perry, David, Rhonda, Miles, Kari and Shawn and their spouses; her grandchildren, great grandchildren and their families; sisters Anne and Edna, brothers Leonard and Billy and numerous nieces and nephews. Madeline was predeceased by her husband Ken in June 1983, her mother Maeline Cayenne in November 1988, her father Dave Mosquito in 1953, her Stepfather Fred Cayenne in February 1958, sons Gordon in February 1984 and Kenny in December 2013, and her infant daughter Lorie in 1960, brothers Pepper in August 1999 and Lawrence and David Ross. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Eastside, 5388 Memorial Drive N.E., Calgary, AB) on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. The family would like to extend their thanks to the Staff at Southview Care Center where Madeline resided in the later years of her life for their thoughtfulness and caring of Madeline.
