Obituary of Constance LEBLOND

August, 10, 1927 – England March, 19, 2016 – Calgary, Alberta Constance “Connie” Leblond, passed away in peaceful surroundings on March 19, 2016, in Calgary, Alberta. Connie was predeceased by her son Stephen whom she loved very much. Connie grew up in England with her Mom and Dad (Nora and Thomas), her brothers Robert, Sid, Jack and sister Joyce. She talked fondly of her memories there. During her life in Canada, she often mentioned her love of the cabin in Yellowknife, enjoying the view of the river from her porch. An avid walker, she spent many hours in recent years, strolling through the paths in Fish Creek Park and taking beautiful country drives with her friends Shirley, Caroline, Cindy and Jennifer, who will miss her dearly. She had a love for dogs (particularly Mr. Max!), children and for certain, a good cup of coffee and piece of pie! She will be missed for her sense of humour, her sense of adventure, her independent nature, and her deep love of the outdoors. How fitting that a tree will be planted in her name, in the very park that she loved to walk in. Thank you to the staff at McKenzie Towne Retirement Residence for caring for Miss Connie, and providing her love and safe haven. Until we meet again Connie, you will be remembered with love, and we will be sure to stay safe and careful… Rest in Peace dear Friend. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Deerfoot South, 12281 – 40th Street S.E.) on Friday, April, 8 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
