Condolences
I got to work for Pat at westfair in Calgary. I must say he was the best boss I ever had. Always took the time to chat with me about anything especially cats. The last time I saw him was at the mall he told me he was taking it easy and enjoying life. I’ll never forget him such a great man I feel it was an honor to have known him.
Dear Stasenski family,
I have been out of country for the last couple weeks and when I heard the news of Pat’s passing , I was in shock. I worked with Pat at UFA in the same area (cubicle) for a year, so got to know Pat on the personal side and golfed together a couple times. Pat and I talked about our Grandkids a lot, Hunter and Aria, he always had a glitter in his eye when talking about you. Talked about how great an evening he had with friends and family when you all went out for Dinner one night. I could go on and on of my great conversations with Pat, he was a great inspiration to many at UFA and always had a wonderful sense of humour. We always had some great laughs and chats.
Pat, you will be missed, until we meet again, good friend.
To the Stasenski family. I offer my condolences to the passing of Pat. I worked briefly with Pat at UFA and our work sessions were always enjoyable. Pat had a unique sense of humor that always left me with a smile on my face and I will miss him dearly.
My deepest sympathy to the Stasenski family. I am so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Pat during his time at UFA and appreciated his kindness, decency and humour. He was such a kind man and we will miss him.
Just wanted to say thanks Pat.
Thanks for saving me from the banks during the great recession. Thanks for giving me an opportunity to work for you at Loblaws, and teaching me much of what I know now. I wish I had been able to work under you and your team longer.
Thanks for keeping me sane when the other coordinator resigned suddenly. Thanks for throwing the foam egg at me in that meeting when I feel asleep. Thanks for being apart of the 6pm crew. Thanks for dancing when Kent and I were playing Queen in his “office”. You’ll always be the kind hearted director I remember, it’s like you’re always here. Thanks for setting this young boy straight. I hope you didn’t get mad about the jokes we made during the flood.
To Pat’s Family
Just wanted to say sorry for your loss. And thanks for sharing Pat with all of us at the Loblaw’s Office.
I worked with Pat at Westfair. He was a lovely man.

I will miss you Pat.
It was an honour to have known and worked with Pat if only for the short few years I knew him. I will always remember him as being very kind and quick with a joke.
My deepest condolences to you and your family at this time.
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Pat. My sincere condolences to his family.
Pat and I worked together at Westfair Foods in Winnipeg but more importantly we played on a tremendously fun slo-pitch team. Most of the fun was after the game! Pat was indeed one of the nicest guys you could meet. Although I had not seen or talked to Pat in many years, I strangely thought about him last week out of the blue.
You touched the lives of many and left a lasting impression on all those fortunate to know you. God speed old friend.
Pat surely will be missed by those who knew him. I had the pleasure of working at Westfair, playing Razorback slowpitch, golfing and curling with Pat. Good times that will be remembered.
Heartfelt condolences to family and friends.
So sorry to hear of your Dad passing Sara. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Very sorry to hear of Pat’s passing. He and I were work buddies at Westfair for years. We were both members of the Westfair Whips, a floor hockey team back in Winnipeg; he was a good athlete and a great sport. He was a true gentleman. I remember my last words to him as he left Westfair/Loblaw as an employee – “it was always a pleasure working with you Pat”.
Dear Elaine and family, we are very sad and very surprised of the passing of Pat, he was a great man, father ,athelete and friend and was great person to work with, we worked together at loblaws for 20 years, had some great times together.he was also our neighbor in Riverbend Calgary for some time. Our heart and prayers go out to you and your family

My heart felt condolences on the loss of Pat. I had the pleasure of working with him closely in the last 6 months. The last email I got from him was Mar 16. He was always joking, so full of life and always had a smile on his face.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you and sorry for such a great loss.
Dear Stasenski family,
Our heart is heavy with the news. I had the pleasure of working closely with Pat the last couple of months at UFA and he left a deep impression on me. Here are a couple of things that struck me as I interacted with Pat:
1) His Humility. He had decades of experience, but would always enter a room eager to learn, never lording his extensive knowledge over anyone. He was always careful with his words to make sure that he was being respectful of someone, even if he didn’t agree with their opinion. I will always remember Pat’s humbleness.
2) His Joy. Pat abounded with joy at work, and always made work fun. No matter the challenge he was facing he would always put a smile on his face and see the good side of things and just enjoy the journey. It wasn’t about recognition, praise, or ego, it was always about enjoying the journey and making people around him happier. I will always remember Pat’s joy.
3) His Love for People. Pat had an extensive career, but at this point in time, he always said that he was more interested in interacting with people over anything else. He didn’t look at tasks as simple tasks, he looked at them as an opportunity to interact with others, bless them, and improve their day. This is a striking perspective in a day where we are shutting ourselves to others more and more because of technology. I will always remember Pat’s love for people.
I know that words don’t take away the pain of loss, but we hope that there is some comfort in the fact that Pat was beloved in other circles, that he blessed other people who you probably won’t ever meet, and that his legacy will live on through the lives that he touched.
Please accept my family’s heartfelt condolences.
Sincerely,
Daniel Portela and Family
