Condolences
Condolences to all the family. Grief is the last act of love we have to give to those we love. Where there is deep grief there was great love.
Our condolences go to all the family on the loss of Rod. We are happy having known him for many years as our neighbor and school mate. His accomplishments were many but we remember him most for his kind heart and ready smile. Rest in Peace Freddy
Sincerely,
The Gross Family –

Inez, Garth and Khysa,
I was saddened to hear that Rod has passed away. I remember him as a very kind, and generous man. I will continue to keep you and your family in my thoughts.
Our condolences to Rod’s beautiful family Inez, Garth and Kysha and Rods Ma and Pa Bishop and Family. Growing up beside Rod , siblings , Mom and Dad in Balzac was one of the most memorable times in my life . From the first day we moved to Balzac Rod was always there to share in new experiences right from the first day in Grade 7 . We both shared a common attitude and a love of playing sports all be it different sports. For me a city guy moving to the country Rod made sure that I would get the full farm experience. I’m sure the first week he had already decided that the first experience I needed most was to help clean the barn and do the night chores after school, of course I got the pitch fork and Rod got the tractor, It was still fun I got to ride on the pile of S#$%, out the barn and up the hill with of course a few doughnuts in between. I was never that good at milking cows but Rod gave me the nice quite Jersey and he took on the Holstein. After chores there was always some fun competition to be had the worst one Rod convinced me to try was high jumping the barb wire fence. Ok maybe this one was not so fun. Rod could sale over the fence with the greatest of ease where I vertically challenged was only good for making it over 1 out of 10 not great odds and a lot of cuts and bruises but Rod continued to worked on my technic and improved my odds somewhat,. Catching or shooting Gophers, Motor Biking, playing football in the pasture these are all great memories for me and my friend Rod. As we grew older the frequency of our visits was few and far between but when we ran into each other at the curling rink or a wedding it was just like I had seen Rod yesterday and of course we always had a lot to catch up on family first , work and sports. Of course with time many things change, we all grow up and go our special ways but the memories live on forever and the memories Maxine and I have were all wonderful and I still tell the stories of those great years.
Inez, Garth and Khysa,
So sorry to hear about Rod’s passing. Sending you all positive vibes and lots of love.

Dear Inez & family.
Heartfelt condolences to you all on the loss of Rod.He will be really missed.
May warm memories of him keep you strong in the difficult days that lie ahead.
I want to express my sincere condolences to all of Rod’s family. Many years ago Rod was a student of mine at Airdrie Elementary and Junior High school. He was an excellent student and a fantastic young athlete. As a grade five and grade six student he led our elementary teams to divisional championships in soccer, volleyball, and basketball in both of those years. It was a pleasure and an honour to have spent those years with him as his coach. I am filled with so much sadness to learn of his passing, but I will always remember him with great fondness.
Your old coach, Don Cooper
We are so sorry for your loss. He was such a wonderful man.
