Obituary of DEL BELLO

June 8, 1935 – Cuberton, Italy March 19, 2016 – Calgary, Alberta It is with great honour that we hand our loving father, Antonio (Nino) Del Bello, over to the open arms of God on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at the age of 80. He was born in Cuberton, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1957. Antonio was an incredibly hard working man. His work ethic was an inspiration to many. After setting roots in Calgary, Nino established a successful contracting company. Upon retirement, Nino loved to go hunting, fishing and spent countless hours gardening. Every Wednesday he would get together with his friends and play cards at the Italian Church. Nino’s biggest pride and joy was his family. Antonio is survived by his wife, Remigia; his daughters, Ornella and Patricia (Norm); and his son John-Carlo. Nonno adored and doted over his grandchildren, Rico (Alicia), Andrea, Robby and Mikayla; as well as his great-grandchildren, Avangeline and Ariana. He is also survived by his sister Graziella (George); his brother Giovanni (Alda) of Italy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Filomena; father Antonio; and brother Sergio. Antonio will be lovingly remembered by numerous family and friends in Canada and Italy. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North) on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded through .
