Obituary of Bernard Joseph PIGOTT

March 16, 2016 – Calgary, Alberta
Bernie Pigott, beloved husband of Barbara Pigott (nee Harris) of Calgary passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at the age of 81 years.
Bernie worked for PCL Construction for over thirty years. He was active in the Highland Park community and a board member at Northminster United Church. Bernie was an avid gardener, hunter and fisherman. He participated in various sports leagues, including slo-pitch baseball, pool at Confederation Park Seniors, curling with Calgary Old Timers Curling Club, and golf at Fox Hollow.
Bernie is survived by his loving wife Barbara; daughters, Ruth (Dean) Lindquist and Diane (Craig) Myers; son Brian (Christine); and grandchildren, Bruce, Brad, Carly, Heather, and Joanna. He is also survived by his brothers, Ken (Laura) and Len (Janet); sister Elaine (Moe) Sinotte; and sister-in-law Gwen (Garry) Graham.
Bernie was predeceased by his daughter Karen in 1979; his brother Ron on March 12, 2016 (Rita in 2005); and sister-in-law Elma in 2010.
A Celebration and Remembrance of Bernie’s Life will be held at Northminster United Church (3311 Centre Street North) on Monday, March 28, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded through . In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes in Bernie’s honour may be made directly to the Northminster United Church Memorial Fund or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
