Obituary of Donald Henry WILBY

March 29, 1957 – Montreal, Quebec February 8, 2016 – Calgary, Alberta It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Donald “Don” Wilby of Calgary, on Monday February 8, 2016 at the age of 58 years. Don was born in Montreal, QC but spent many of his young years living in Borden, ON. After a stint in the Royal Canadian Armed Forces, Don journeyed to Calgary with his parents and brothers, he has called Calgary home ever since. Don spent more than 30 years in service to the Commissionaires. One of his favourite past-times was watching hockey and his favourite team was the Toronto Maple Leafs. He was also the captain of a slo-pitch team for many years. Don is survived by his brothers Bruce (Rossana) Wilby and Peter (Janice) Wilby; and sister Susan (Bob) Archer. He is also survived by his nieces Lisa (Ivan) Marchand, Pheonix (Erez) Brill, Stephanie (Mark) Lucas, Jennifer Wilby, Amanda Wilby and Veronica Wilby; and nephews Phillip (Leanne) Daniels, Andrew (Julie) Archer, Gordon (Jackie) Wilby, Jonathan Wilby and Allen Wilby. Don is predeceased by his wife Carol and his second wife Helen, as well as his parents, Robert and Lillian. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
