August 18, 1932 – January 7, 2016 Lynn Taylor passed away peacefully in Calgary at the age of 83. Born in Medicine Hat to Edith and George McArthur, she attended schools in Medicine Hat, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Fort William before taking drama and radio classes at Queens University. She worked in advertising in Toronto and London England before joining TWA where her traveling continued. Lynn met Sam in San Francisco, married and raised their family in Rye, NY. She was a devoted mother and very involved in her daughters’ activities. Lynn loved entertaining and playing tennis but her passion was the performing arts, from singing to tap dancing. She performed, choreographed and directed countless productions with the Women’s Club of Rye, Rye Youth Council Players and Coveleigh Club. Her hobby in genealogy suited her investigative aptitude and her outgoing personality which led her back to Alberta in 1996. Lynn’s knack for organizing was a tremendous asset to Sam’s business as well as the numerous volunteer positions she held over the years through Rye Presbyterian Church, TWIG and many others. Her creative flair always added that special touch. She made the ordinary extraordinary!
