Obituary of Harold Edward RANDALL

July 25, 1936 – January 1, 2016 It is with great sadness that we, the Randall family announce the sudden passing of Harold Randall, while cruising the Caribbean surrounded by his whole family. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather, and a friend to many. Harold is survived by his loving wife Marion, of fifty-five years; daughters and sons-in-law, Lori (Vern) Chang, Patricia (Kendall) Harding, and Nancy (Bruce) Kissinger; and grandchildren, Brooklyn and Tienna Chang, Logan, Chase and Layne Harding, and Kylie and Kori Kissinger. He is also survived by his brother Frank (Margaret) Randall; sister Elsie (Ed) Dykman; two brothers-in-law, Norman Ingalls and Murray (Margaret) Ingalls and their families. Harold was predeceased by his parents George and Annie Randall and sister, Mary (Milton) Konschuh. Harold was born in Beiseker, Alberta. He lived and farmed in the Kathyrn area for sixty-one years, until he retired to Calgary in 1998. He continued to make almost daily trips to his farm, often to give his free advice and to welcome the neighbors in for coffee. Lawn mowing and snow removal continued to keep him busy in his retirement years. One of Harold’s greatest accomplishments was winning the Master Farm Family Award for Rockyview County in 1998. He was always very proud of his farm. Harold was an active member of the Keoma Lions Club for over fifty years. He was also a founding member of the Rockyview Gas Co-op and served on the board for thirty years. Harold spent many hours volunteering his time and equipment to the community, helping to maintain ball diamonds, curling rinks, and playgrounds, in both the Kathyrn and Keoma areas. Harold enjoyed travelling with family and friends. He had many fond memories of travels to Las Vegas, Hawaii, Disneyland, cruising, camping trips, and spending time at his condominium in Invermere. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke’s Catholic Church (Corner of Northmount Drive & Northland Drive N.W.) on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
