Obituary of Wai Yee WONG

黄 維 裕 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wai Yee Wong on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at the age of 89 years. He was predeceased by his wife Ngan in 2013. Wai Yee is survived by six children, Emon (Stephen), Hoy (Bob), Peter (Donna), Walter (Laurie), Judy (Ray) and Tony (Karen) including sixteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Born in Guangdong, China in 1926 he immigrated to Canada in 1951. Joining his father in the restaurant business in Calgary he became the third generation of Chinese who managed to make a prosperous life in Canada. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on January 10, 2016 at 10:30 am. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
