Dear Patsy and family – so sorry to hear about Colin’s passing – he was always a great friend to our family – we will miss the good times we had together and offer our sincere condolences at this difficult time – Colleen and Rich Muth
Our sincerest condolences go out to Patsy and family during this difficult time. Colin was such a kind hearted, intelligent, good man. Every conversation I had with Colin left me with a positive, warm feeling and a smile on my face. Colin no doubt had that same positive impact on everyone he came in contact with. He will be missed.
I have so many wonderful memories of Colin, particularly as a teenager and a young man. Despite being the pesky little sister of his best friend at the time, Colin was always patient with me, put up with my schoolgirl crush on him, and grew into the loving, generous, amazing man who became an amazing husband, brother and grandfather. Although we didn’t see each other very often, I’ll miss knowing that he’s around, and my heartfelt sympathy and love goes to Patsy, Scott, Thomas and their families.
We are sorry for your loss. We didn’t know Colin long but he touched the hearts of everyone he meet. He will be truly missed.
To the Mackenzie and Puim families our deepest condolences to all of you. The passing of a loved one is tough on everyone in the family and we just want you to know our prayers are with you during this time.
I was so shocked and saddened to hear this news, and can’t quite comprehend what you must be going through, Patsy, with the boys. I have such fond memories of my time with you guys in Calgary. You both gave me a place to stay and a warm and generous welcome, along with fun and laughs too. Colin would often tell me how ‘you’ll be fine kiddo’ if I felt homesick or wobbly. I remember those first weeks in your house, thinking that you were the most in-love couple I’d ever seen, and often remarked on it to you. But it was true. If people are indeed made for each other, then you two were the poster for it. All of that love will carry you through this Patsy. Lean on that, and those around you who can take the strain. Thinking of you lots, much love, Shona. x
Colin was one of life’s true gentlemen. I never heard him say a bad word about anyone. He was easy company and made everyone feel welcome. His love for and Dedication to Patsy and the boys was something to aspire to.
I had the pleasure of spending time with the family in Canada, Scotland and the Azores and I will treasure my memories of these times with Colin, and look forward to many more with Patsy…..
I remember many a time singing along to James Taylor with Colin and indeed his famous tune “You’ve got a friend” could be the theme tune for Colin’s life. He touched the life of everyone he came into contact with. He was a great man. He will be sorely missed by many.
Sending lots of love and prayers for strength to help the family through this most difficult time.

My sincerest sympathies to Colin’s family. Colin was my Center Manager while I worked at the Monterey Coop as the Meat Manager in 2000 to 2001. Colin was truly my mentor, he made it fun to come to work. I learned a lot from Colin and he gave me the foundation needed to grow with the company. I also kept in touch with Colin once he left Co-op, he always took the time out of his busy day to have a coffee or a quick chat. A very well respected man who will be deeply missed by myself and others. Trevor Moore – Meat Operations Director at Calgary Co-op
Patsy, Scott, Thomas and the Mackenzie and Puim families our deepest condolences to all of you. May your memories of Colin help you through this difficult time. He was a kind and generous person with a good sense of humor we always enjoyed being around Colin. The families who have loves ones as the recipients of his organ donations will be forever thankful for his generosity. Colin loved and was loved deeply by his family.
Our thoughts are with all of you.
