Obituary of Gordon McCANN

October 23, 1931 – November 26, 2015 Gordon passed away at the age of 84 years, he is survived by his loving wife Freda, son Jeff (Suzanne and their sons Lucas, Joel, Noah and Jacob), son Randy and daughter Sue (and her sons Nathan and Colton). Gordon was born in Winnipeg and moved to Calgary with his wife and family in 1962. He spent most of his life working in advertising and public relations and was president of Gordon McCann & Associates. He was well respected by his peers in the public relations field. Additionally, he was instrumental in starting the Moonrisers Breakfast Club. As an active member of Toastmasters Int’l, he was awarded an honourary lifetime membership to the Bow Valley Toastmasters club and a lifetime membership to the Canadian Public Relations Society. He was particularly proud of the many years he spent instructing Toastmasters SpeechCraft programs at the Mustard Seed. His hobbies included amateur boxing, stamp collecting, fishing, camping and spending time with family. There will be no funeral service.
