Condolences
Larry has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember – first as the older brother of my dear friend Alison and later as a roommate and a great friend. Larry was the real deal; he was fun, witty and most important kind hearted.
My love and thoughts are with Coralie and the kids as well as the rest of the Hatfield family during this difficult time.
I am grateful for my friendship with Larry and will hold my memories close. Good-Bye my friend.
LPH, we will miss you forever, the sadness at your passing is overwhelming and almost all-consuming. We will not sell your ticket to GnR but leave an empty seat with a flower on it for you. We’ve shared a lot of years (STR thinks since ’72 and AJ maybe since ’97). How about the Darby years, renting vehicles & equipment, arranging the groupies for the band…. So many memories we share, we will never forget the times of our lives.
Rest in peace and rise in glory.
Robert and I are so sorry to hear of Larry’s passing. Larry always included us when he sent pictures and videos to the family. I always appreciated that and always thanked him. I know you will find comfort in these pictures and videos for years to come.
You will be in our thoughts and prayers for years to come.
Janet and Robert Dean, Colorado
May God have mercy on his soul. He was a kind, loving Husband, Son, Father and to me a caring, considerate nephew with whom I corresponded on the net for years. I will miss him and pray for his family.
Our Deepest condolences to everyone. Dad, Son, Brother, Friend and Cousin; Larry was many of theses things to many of us. Our thought and prays are with everyone who have had the privilege of knowing this Great Man. Larry will be missed, and remembered for all the great things that you have done in your life, by all the people that were Lucky enough to have him in their lives. I hope Ben has a ham ready for you.
I was so saddened to hear of Larry’s passing. He was a kind, considerate supportive friend and I will always remember our university days – long talks, tons of encouragement and many, many laughs. Larry will be remembered by everyone whose life he touched. Thinking of you all.
To all of our Hatfield families in Calgary, your loss is felt by those who know and love you. May it comfort all of you to remember that we care about your sorrow, that we are here for you and will be there for you in the days ahead. We will treasure the pictures of all of us that was taken in our garden last August. God Bless you all.
Love,
Aunt Vicki, Uncle Dave, cousins David (Tracy) 3 children and Derek (Darlene) 2 children
To my dearest friend of over 30 years.
It was hard to stand beside your remains today and say goodbye to the best friend I ever had. There were stories and memories I wanted to share but my heart felt too heavy to continue.
You know how much of a great friend you were to me and I will always remember the good times we shared. It will take time to understand this great loss we have all felt, but time will heal the pain even though the scar remains.
Your pain is over my friend. Our “New Normal” starts today as we comfort each other from this day forward. May God watch over Both Families and bless them as they move forward through this painful time.
We will help your Family grow and help them know what an amazing Dad you were. Rest in peace my friend. I’m at peace knowing you have found yours.
Love you forever,
Your Best Friend
Neil J Power

Coralie & family. We have been putting off sending this message of sympathy and condolences for a few days because we cannot find words in our hearts that will mend the heartbreak and sorrow that you and your family are feeling right now. Please accept our deepest sympathy on Larry’s passing. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Aunt Joan, Joanne, Steve, Alison, Coralie, Ben, Daniel and Samantha,
We haven’t stopped thinking about you all since we heard the news. I have always thought the world of Larry, he was such a kind person, son and cousin, and we could see that he was a wonderful dad and husband as well. It was clear how much he loved you and your three beautiful children, Coralie. We can only imagine the loss you all feel. Know that we are thinking of you, and please let us know if there is anything at all we can do.
Jason, Beth Graye & Foster
It’s incredibly hard to put into words how sorry I am about Larry’s passing. I first knew him as a funny, kind, and talented boy and over these many years watched him mature into a sensitive, caring man. Larry was like a younger brother, as I was lucky to be accepted by the Hatfield family as Joanne’s friend. Music and laughter were a big part of the household, and there was always an extra plate of food for a “stray”.
My heart goes out to you all at this time, as do our prayers as a family. We will pray for you to have strength now. Hugs to you all, from far away.
Joan, my heart goes out to you on the loss of your dear Son, Larry.
He was from ‘fine stock’ with you & Ben as parents, so I am sure he must have been a fine man, and another piece of your heart is gone .
Please accept my deepest sympathy and try to be strong. You are in my prayers.
Sincerely, Marie

To Coralie and family,
It is with great shock and sorrow that I learned of Larry’s passing. I first met Larry many years ago at CP but really got to know him when we worked together for a couple of years. I will always remember his great sense of humour and quick wit. Larry was a great family man and he shared many stories with me about his family, and especially his kids. Please accept my sincerest condolences and may the fond memories of him help you through this trying time.
Thinking of you all at this very sad time and remembering my wonderful cousin Larry. I have so many special memories of growing up as part of the Hatfield family; memories of Larry as part of every family celebration and being a groomsman on our wedding day. Larry was always there when needed. So glad we had the opportunity to spend time with Larry, Coralie and their beautiful family this past summer. Please know that we are here if there’s anything we can do.
With our love and deepest sympathy,
Barbara, Craig, Kimberley and Kelly

We’re thinking of you all through these difficult days. The world has lost a kind, generous, good soul, but heaven has gained an angel. We’re praying for strength for you in the days ahead and in time, we hope that memories of Larry will bring a smile upon your faces, and a sense of peace, instead of the tears of today. Hugs and blessings to each and every one of you. J and T

Coralie, Banjamin, Daniel and Samantha – Simple words cannot express our heartfelt feelings. Your Husband and Daddy was a loving, caring man and we will all miss him. We had a wonderful time with all of you this past Summer, memories we will cherish forever.
“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal,
Love leaves a memory, no one can steal.”
Sincerely, Uncle Gerry & Aunt Mary.
Coralie, Daniel, Ben, Samantha, Alison, Joanne, Stephen, “Mom Hatfield” and all the extended family and friends – Im absolutely heart broken to hear that the world has lost a very special man like Larry. Growing up in the Hatfield house, (and being the youngest kid around) I was always subject to the fun and pranks and teasing that the “big brothers” provided… He was always there to help others and his kindness was clearly apparent to anyone who ever met him, and even to those who never had the pleasure! While we ended up living apart as adults we always managed to remain in contact. It was a pleasure to spend time with him, Coralie and the kids this past summer in Toronto for a quick “catch up”. Every time I think of Larry I hear these high squealed pitches he would sing out randomly around the house to some sort of music and then laugh, along with his reaction to Alison’s dog eating his expensive stereo headphones! LOL
Sadly he is no longer here, but we all now have an angel up there looking out for us all.
Thinking of you all during this difficult time and sending all my love.

Having moved from the east coast to calgary and not having any family around, Alison quickly became family to me. Having Alison as a part of my family did not mean it was her alone. She had quite the crew by her side who welcomed me with open arms, Larry being one of them. I remember being pleasantly surprised when Larry told us he had met a girl, Coralie. Larry hadn’t dated much during the time I knew him. Then I met Coralie and she was so sweet and caring, they were a perfect match. And that perfect match created a beautiful family together. It is in my heavy heart that I will continue to remember Larry as the generous, witty, loving person he was. My condolences go out to Coralie and the kids, as well as to Joan, Steven,Joanne and my dear friend Alison. He may be gone but he will never be forgotten.
Joan & Family

So sorry to hear your loss of Larry. I came to know Larry a few years ago at CP. I will always remember Larry for his great sense of humour. He was a great Dad. Please accept my deepest condolences and may GOD help you through this difficult time.
Coralie, Ben. Daniel, Samantha and the Hatfield Family,
We are so deeply heartsick. Larry, was and will always be such a beautiful soul in our lives. He always acknowledged the bond our families shared and never let us forget how precious our loved ones are to us. We are so glad we had time with you this past summer. Larry loved you and the children so much. We know he will be with us each time we hear a Rush, Aerosmith, Van Halen or Def Leppard song or anytime we hear a drum solo. Sending all our love…
I would like to send my prayers to the Hatfield family. Larry and the family were a very big part of my life growing up in Kilbride. We were more than school mates. We hung out together and created many fond memories as we grew old together. The Hatfield home was like a second home to me and many others. The door was always open. Take care and God bless my old friend .
Even though I haven’t seen Larry in years, I am so saddened by the news of his passing. I remember him loving playing the drums in the band. I remember a sweet, smiley guy who was so nice to everyone. Please accept my deepest sympathy during this heartbreaking time.
My sincere condolences to the Hatfield Family. I went to school with Larry and he was always so kind hearted and down to earth. May Larry rest in Peace and may the family remember all the good times they had with him.
Steven, so sorry to hear about the loss of your brother. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.
My condolences to the Hatfield family. Larry was a student of mine at Beaconsfield High. I remember him playing the drums in the school band. He even asked me to play the bass in his band for a song we did on stage during spirit week. He was a wonderful person and will be sadly missed. Our thoughts are with you and your family at this most difficult time.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very difficult time.
To Joanne and the Hatfield Family,
When we lose a loved one here on earth, we gain an angel in heaven that watches over us. May you take comfort in knowing that you have a special angel to watch over you now. May our Lord bless and comfort you and your family during this time of grief. Please accept my sincere condolences.
Coralie, Benjamin, Daniel, Samantha, Mrs. Hatfield, Alison, Paul, Steven, Andrea, Joanne, Jason and extended family.

Thinking of his family and friends as they transition through this difficult time.

Aunt Marg and I are at a loss to express the shock and sadness we felt on hearing of Larry’s passing. Such a young man, great Hubby and Dad. Coralie, you and your childrens’ loss is unimaginable.
Our deepest condolences go out to you and your family, and to Larry’s mom Joan, his siblings Joanne, Stephen and Alison, as well as extended family.
May Larry rest in peace, and be reunited with his dad, Ben.
It is so difficult to find words to describe your loss. In your time of sorrow please know others are thinking about you. To the whole family accept our deepest sympathy.
To Joanne and the entire Hatfield family;
It is so hard to find words of comfort at a time like this. But I have found that knowing so many people have you in their thoughts and prayers, and that Larry will be remembered with such fondness, it does help. My sincere condolences to all of you.
Coralie, my deepest condolences to you and your family. I worked with Larry at CP for 6 years from 2006 – 2012 as the admin assistant on his team. I was deeply moved when I found out that he was gone. He always had such a happy disposition and a kind word for everyone. I ran into him a couple of times this past summer and was able to catch up with him a little bit. There are no words to provide you complete comfort at this time, but know that there are many hearts that go out to you at this difficult time.
We had the privilege of being friends with Larry during one of the best times of our lives. Moving from the East Cost to the big city of Calgary was the best move we ever made, and that is in part because of the friendships we made with Larry, Alison and the rest of that great crew. We will miss you Larry and you will forever be in our hearts.

So saddened to hear of the untimely passing of our beloved nephew, Lawrence Hatfield of Calgary, Alberta. Our heartfelt love to his wife, sons and daughter at this very sad news. We will always remember him with great love. God bless!
Larry had a quick wit that rarely failed to make me laugh throughout the often tumultuous years of grade school and high school. We also shared a love for music. I have to admit I envied his ability to play drums in the school band, as I did not even begin my own journey to becoming a musician until I was almost finished high school. Sadly, Larry and I lost touch after high school; but that did not ease the shock of learning the news of his sudden passing. My deepest condolences to his family. Larry RIP
I was saddened to learn of Larry’s passing. I knew Larry from Kilbride and had the pleasure of jamming with him on a couple of occasions back in our formative years. As many people have pointed out already Larry was a wonderful soul and he certainly touched the lives of those around him in a positive way. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
