Condolences
What a pleasure it was to have known Clay and family here in Hinton. Sincere condolances
to all the family during a sad time.
We met Clay in 1958 when we moved to Hinton and he became our Pharmacist and friend until he sold the drug store and moved away. We have only kind thoughts of Clay as he was a fine gentleman with a wonderful sense of humour. He will be missed by many!
To BJ, Jamie and Ken and families
Your Dad and Mom were so important in our lives, especially the early days of our marriage in 1960. Jean was a surrogate Mom to me and Clay was the kindest, most caring person in the community who looked after each and every person in need. He simply never worried about the cost, just being there when help was needed.
We know he went peacefully, knowing he would be joining his beloved Jean.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. We’ll miss his Christmas letter this year but he won’t be forgotten.
Betty Jean, Jamie and Ken-We are so saddened to hear of your Dad’s passing. He was such a wonderful man-always cheerful, always ready to help and a dear friend to many, many people. May your wonderful memories of him and knowing the love he shared help you through this sad time. Cal and Teresa Hotchkiss
To my dear friend BJ, You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers during this sad time of losing your Dad.

BJ, Jamie & Ken, Your dad was special, a genuine smile, full of P&V and lots of fun to be around. We will miss him, I found a card today that says it all.
Tonight, when you look up don’t think of them as stars.
Think of them as porch lights welcoming your loved one safely home.
Uncle Clay’s in good company, back with Mom watching over you all.
Sorry we can’t be with you, our thoughts an prayers are with you.
Clay will always remain a price of a man in my memories with a heart of gold and a knack for small talk. He was a fixture at King Drugs in Hinton when I was growing up. A loveable man with a great sense of humor and wit.
I offer my sincerest condolences to the Richardson family.

We are so sorry to hear of Clay’s passing. My thoughts go back many, many years to when I worked at King Drug and had the opportunity to get to know him. He was a very thoughtful, kind and fair man and I will always remember the ways he and your mom treated me. Keep the sweet memories close to your hearts and he will never be far away.

Our dear friends, the Richardson Clan, Our hearts go out to you all in the loss of your wonderful Dad & Poppa. Family was so important to Clay & he was so proud of all of you! We have so many great memories of him through our growing up years in Hinton & of special times shared at our beloved Mara Lake. When we think of your Dad we will remember his easy smile & the twinkle in his eye! He was a valued member of the Hinton community & a dear friend to our family. He will be missed! Sending you all much love during this difficult time.
I want to send to all the family my heartfelt condolences. Though it is a sad time; remember a life well lived. Clay (Poppa) was a proud and strong man that left behind a legacy his family can be very proud of. Celebrate his wonderful life, keep him always in your hearts. Keep all the family memories close. A song, a bird and hockey game comes on, you’ll remember him fondly and smile. Though its hard time now, the memories will always be there when you need them the most. God Bless!
To BJ and Randy, Jamie and Vivian, Ken and Janice and Families,
Phil and myself were so sorry to hear about Uncle Clay and we were so glad he wouldn’t miss the Christie reunions. It was good that he had the strong family support so he could be there. It always amazed both of us how he “made the rounds” and had a great visit with all his Christie family. He was very sincere in wanting to know what you and your family had been up to. He will be sorely missed by all of us. Unfortunately we will not be able to attend the funeral as we will be out of the country. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
