Obituary of Clayton Garrett FRIEDLEY

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Clayton Garrett Friedley at the age of 32 years. Clayton was born on March 27, 1983 in Calgary, Alberta. Clayton attended school in Delia, Calgary and Olds, Alberta where he studied Agricultural Mechanics & Ag. Business to satisfy his lifelong curiosity about the way things work and how to build on that knowledge and realize his dreams. He lived in an ever evolving loop between the family farm and the city. He had a passion for travel, exploring Canada many times, on his walk abouts from the West Coast to the Atlantic Ocean. As with all things he touched base in many spiritual paths, and incorporated aspects of many beliefs in his life. He loved the land and his family. His compass always led him back to the farm and the country where he completed his journey when his work here was done. Clayton is survived by his mother Cora Jean Mitchell of Calgary, his father Gordan Friedley of Delia, his brothers Gavin (Jeanna & family), Aaron Friedley (Kim), sister Jordan and dear friend Ashley. His Auntie Myrt, Uncle Doug, and cousins Curtis and Graham also held a special place in his life. A large and loving extended family will also miss him dearly. Clayton was predeceased by his grandparents Bert & Cora Mitchell & Elmer & Pauline Friedley and numerous relatives. Clayton’s Soul Celebration will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.), on Monday, November 16, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Comfort food will be provided and casual dress is welcomed, Clayton’s way.
