Condolences
Janet and I were good friends while growing up in Assiniboia and I was very saddened to hear of her passing. Our lives took us in very different directions because of our husbands jobs but she was always in the back of my mind. She will be remembered with great fondness
Our sincere condolences to John & family. We know Jan will be missed by all
My condolences to the family of Jan. I was at Sir Winston Churchill during the time that Jan was there. She was such a warm friendly person and very helpful with the support of students. No doubt she will be missed by many of the students and staff.
My sincerest condolences. I am deeply saddened. I worked with Janet at Sir Winston Churchill Sr. High, in the same open area learning centre. She was a kind, caring person and she had a wonderful calming affect on the students she working with. Janet was much loved by her students;, she gave them confidence with her reassuring smile. .

It was an honor to work with Janet and even more so to count her as a friend. Outstanding in both regards, she was ever magnanimous, sincere, compassionate, witty, astute, and genuine. Her tremendous contributions which extended from the practical to the inspirational were ever attained with gracious diligence, her positive influence permeating the entire English Department of staff and students at Sir Winston Churchill High School. Though the world Janet now inhabits will be immeasurably enriched by her presence while ours is sorely diminished, may these words soothe her family and all those dear to her during this great loss: “There is a sacredness in tears [which] are not the mark of weakness, but of power, [for] they speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues [of] overwhelming grief…and unspeakable love”(Washington Irving).
JOhn … Connie and I would like to pass on our thoughts to you, Jim and Doug. Albeit we met only a few times she was a neat lady.
Chat thru our letter over Christmas.
Again we’re thinking of all of you.
Ric
Our deepest sympathy. She was a joy to know.
She was a very dear friend to me, even across the province. She was a kind and thoughtful woman who always had a smile on her beautiful face! She was a wonderful woman who will be missed dearly.
I met Jan at the Sunflower Group at Tom Baker three years ago. She always had a smile on her face, had a positive and loving attitude, welcomed and accepted everyone and always cared about the welfare of others. As a result she was very respected by all. Such a beautiful soul! I truly feel blessed to have known her. I’m sorry to miss her funeral (out of country) but I will be praying for her family and friends.
Sending you all of our love and wishes for peace to you all after Jan’s long and courageous journey. She was an amazing inspiration to her brother Bob and I hope they can be at peace together now. A truly lovely lady who will be missed by so many – I’m so honoured to have had her in my life.
