Obituary of Earl Patrick CADY

April 10, 1936 – Chatham, New Brunswick October 30, 2015 – Edmonton, Alberta Earl Cady predeceased by his first wife of forty-two years, Mary Rose (Lou). He married his second wife, the former Lois Straub, in 2006. He joined the Canadian Forces May 1953 and served until his retirement July 1993. During his service as a Strathcona he filled various appointments; ultimately was appointed Regimental Sergeant-Major in 1981. His time as a Strathcona spanned more then twenty three years. He was invested into The Order of Military Merit in the grade of member in 1989. Chief Warrant Officer Cady finished his career with his appointment as the Regimental Sergeant-Major of 1 Canadian Brigade Group and Canadian Forces Base Calgary. Since his retirement CWO Cady had been an active member of the LdSH(RC) Regimental Association and the LdSH(RC) Regimental Society. He is survived by his son Patrick and two daughters, Mrs.Timothy McLeod (Elizabeth) and Mrs. Eldon Ellis (Shirley). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Emily and Sara Crabb, Josh and Andrew Ellis, Justin Cady and Cory and Alex Rogans, three brothers George, Frederick and Kenneth and sister Margie Brown.
