TROTTIER, Ronald Joseph April 16, 1957 – Winnipeg, Manitoba October 26, 2015 – Calgary, Alberta Ron Trottier passed away suddenly on Monday, October 26, 2015 in Calgary, Alberta. He was born on April 16, 1957 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and resided there with his family until relocating to Calgary on October 31, 2006. After obtaining his Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Winnipeg and later a Construction Technician Certificate at Lethbridge Community College, his career in sales included both successful entrepreneurial business ownership and his final corporate adventure working at Standard. Ron married Trish in June 1990 and later was overjoyed with the arrival of his only son Steven in May 1994. Ron’s marriage to Trish of 25 years and his son Steven was the effervesce of his life. That’s what mattered most – his family went travelling around the world discovering a life of adventure and astounding memories that Trish and Steven will carry in their hearts forever. His passion for family was shared with dedication and love for Laurie, Gilles, Papa, as well as his beloved nephews Scott and Cam. He is preceded in death by his parents Bob and Anne-Marie Trottier, as well as mother-in-law Dora Lyons. His surviving family members include Gerry and Michelle along with Rob and Monique and many extended family and friends are saddened by his quick departure. “This is a sad conclusion to a happy little song …” in the poem Where’s Bula. His passions included “all things family”, his adoring cat, Cricket and his “new home” team, the Calgary Stampeders. A private family gathering to honour Ron has occurred. A Celebration of Ron’s Life will be held at the Delta Calgary South Hotel Tower – Acadia Room (135 Southland Drive S.E. Calgary, AB) on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
