Obituary of Dale Norman FISHER
April 30, 1942 – October 8, 2015

Dale Fisher passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the age of 73. He was predeceased by his parents Gerald and Helen Fisher of Sylvan Lake.
Cherished husband of Carol Fisher, father to Christopher Fisher (Betty Rodriguez), Danielle Schippanoski (Steve), Kyla Fisher (Trent Anderson) and grandfather to Meleia and Noah Anderson and Xiomara Fisher; eldest brother to Allan (Colleen) Fisher, Lorne (Rosivy) Fisher, Diane (Hal) Irvine and Susan (Gene Levitt) Fisher, wise brother-in-law to Patricia, Heather, Kathleen and their spouses; “Uncle Funny to many beloved nieces and nephews.
Dale grew up in Sylvan Lake, Alberta. He attended the University of Alberta, where he spent his summers serving in the naval cadets exploring the coasts of the Canadian Maritimes. He completed his MSc. at the University of Calgary. Upon graduation Dale and his beloved wife Carol worked and taught in Nigeria, Africa where he developed a lifelong love and admiration for African cultures. After fifteen years of teaching and administration with the CBE, Dale transitioned into the Oil Patch where he developed a passion for negotiation, conflict resolution and business development.
An avid outdoorsman, Dale was often found deep in the Canadian Rockies with his children close by his side camping, hiking, skiing, biking and golfing. He and Carol spent a lifetime travelling across the globe as they sought to better understand and embrace global cultures.
A Celebration of Dales’ Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
