ZUKOWSKI, Joel Anthony March 10th, 1999 – October 3rd, 2015 It is with deep sadness that we announce that our beloved son, Joel entered peacefully into eternal rest the morning of October 3rd, with his Mom and Dad by his side. After a long battle with cancer, he was a true warrior and an inspiration to everyone he met. He was loved by many and will never be forgotten. Joel is survived by his Mom (Dale), Dad (Ed), brother (Eric), Grandmere (Reina), Grandpa (Lee), Grandma (Steph), Grandma V (Veronica), several Great Uncles & Aunts, Uncle and Aunt (Rich and Kim), Uncle and Aunt (Paul and Sandy), Uncle and Aunt (Mark and Rayto), Uncle and Aunt (Scott and MJ), and all his beloved cousins Jordon, Colton, Sierra, Rachel, James, Justine, Connor and Autumn. Joel was a gentle and loving soul who had a beautiful smile. He loved art, sports and music with a special passion for golf, and playing the fiddle. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the Alberta Children’s Hospital (ACH) healthcare team for their love and compassion throughout the last 6 ½ years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kids Cancer Care (KCC). A gathering with friends and family will be held on Fri., Oct. 9th, 2015 from 6:00-8:00pm. A viewing will be held on Sat., Oct. 10th at 1pm with a Celebration of Life to follow at 2pm. Both will take place at Westview Baptist Church (WBC), 1313 Ranchlands Way NW. All are welcome to both events. An Internment Service will take place following the Celebration, with a return to WBC for refreshments afterwards.
