Obituary of Margaret POLLOCK

January 13, 1928 – September 9, 2015 Peggy Pollock, beloved wife of Graham Pollock, passed away suddenly but peacefully on September 9, 2015. Peggy was born in Winnipeg MB on January 13, 1928. She later moved to Calgary and attended Western Canada High School where she met the love of her life, Graham. After graduating, she began a career at RKO Pictures where she remained during her marriage to Graham until the birth of their first child. Peggy gave birth to three beautiful children. Over the years, the family relocated several times because of Graham’s work, eventually ending up in Calgary. Graham travelled extensively throughout the world for his job and Peggy often accompanied him. They had wonderful and exotic experiences and especially loved their frequent visits to Maui where they had many friends. When Peggy’s children became independent, she attended the nursing program at Mount Royal College where she proudly graduated as an RN in 1976. Peggy was a voracious reader, golfer and a lover of the outdoors. She was a talented singer and musician as well. Most importantly, Peggy was the kindest individual who let all who knew her feel her great warmth and love. She saw the good in everybody. She was passionate and committed to her family, always encouraging each of them and celebrating their accomplishments. Peggy will be lovingly remembered by her husband Graham. On October 27, 2015 they would have celebrated 65 wonderful years of marriage. She is also survived by her children Terry (Greg) Holden, Bill (Daphne) Pollock and Jim (Mary Ellen) Pollock. Also her grandchildren Richard and Derek Holden, Carey Pollock and Aaron and Sally Pollock. A gathering to celebrate Peggy’s life will be held at the Glencoe Club (636 – 29 Avenue S.W., Calgary) on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 1:00 pm.
