Condolences
What sad news. Our condolence to Mark’s family. We met Mark at Home Depot and although only knew him for about a year or so he became not only our right hand man but our friend! Our family is devastated over this news. Mark helped us build out our space for our new business and I was hoping to have had him at our grand opening when I learnt of his passing.
I extend my sincere condolences to Lonnie and the Schebel family. I knew Mark at school and, although we didn’t stay in touch, I was delighted to see his smiling face pop up on face book. We became face book friends. I have a lot of memories of Mark from school. We laughed, a lot; we cried a little, and we helped each other through the messy business of puberty. Gone too soon. Rest in peace.
Our deepest condolences to the Schebel Family, with prayers of love and strength. Rest in Peace Mark, we will miss you, your laugh, smile, humour (and dance moves). Go fly with the Angels. Love the Magyars ❤️
My deepest condolences to the Schebel family and all that knew him. He will be deeply missed. I will remember all of our great times growing up together. God Speed.
Dear Jacquie, Ian & all of Mark’s family
We are sorry for your loss….our thoughts & prayers are with you at this sad time.
Our heartfelt sympathy.
To Lonnie and the Schebel family. I was so saddened to learn of Mark’s untimely passing. I first met Mark through the Home Depot and over the years we became close friends. His dry sense of humor was infectious and we shared many laughs together. He had a courageous but, fatalistic, attitude towards his diabetes–he was rarely down. Although he went too soon, take solace in the fact he lived life to the fullest. Mark will be missed so much.
My heartfelt condolences to you all. Gary (the OBG)
Dear Matt, Jacki, Ian, Marcia, Dylan, Rob, Ashley, Ryan, Evan, Talia, Mia, and Nicholas,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time of Son, Brother and Uncle Mark’s passing. Please find comfort in ‘All the Great Memories shared with Your Loved Ones.’ They are missed by many.
Please express our condolences to Lonnie as well.
With sympathy and love,
Mel and Sharon
Mark Schebel will be missed by all that knew him. My Condolences to his family.
I’ll remember Mark as the truly good friend he was.
I regret not spending more time with him as we grew older.
He was just a good person and a great teammate!
My condolences to Lonnie and Mark’s nuclear and extended families. Mark was a rarity. Unique. Genuine in every way. As Frank Sinatra sang, “I did it my way”. That would be a very appropriate anthem for Mark. He shared many memories before the final curtain. Mark touched everyone that loved, admired and respected him in an individual and distinct manner. He has left us far too soon. With deepest sympathies to all,
Al Radke (the marmoot)
I never knew Mark but I feel that I know something of him because Marcia told me about him and she loved him very much and she struggled to find a way to help him. Mark died far too young. My deepest sympathy goes to the Schebel family and especially Marcie. Marcie would never give up hope for Mark. And she never stopped trying to figure out what she could do for Mark to make his life better. My deepest sympathy is to Marcie for never giving up but ultimately losing her dear brother.
Such a sad time for Marks family , Lonnie and everyone that knew him. On behalf of our families in England we send our sincere condolences, he was such a great character and all of us that met him loved his company. We will miss him so much on our trips to Canada.
……..he lived a life that was full……..and did it his way!
What a sad shock!! Although I haven’t seen Mark often in the past few years, he was
a person I will always remember. I think the line in his obituary “ …his relaxed attitude toward life and his desire to have fun,” describes so well the Mark I remember growing up as part of our Huron Place families, years that will always be in the back of my mind.
We don’t expect to make it to the funeral in Calgary, so we send our love to Matt,
Jacquie and Marcia now, and our thoughts are with each of you now and on Saturday on this sad occasion as we say goodbye to Mark.
Love
“Uncle” Bernie and Veda

Our deepest condolences to Lonnie and the Schabel family. Mark will be in remembered for his great sense of humour, kindred spirit and love for life.
There are never any right words to say when it comes to the passing of someone before their time. I consider myself very fortunate to have had a chance to know Mark. I have many fond memories of him. He was my boss, and as a boss he was a great boss. He truly cared about his team, he treated us with the utmost respect. He made the worse days fun. He understood people. Men like Mark are rare and we are all very lucky to have known him and to have had the chance to have him in our lives. He will be missed.
I just wanted to say how genuinely sorry I am to hear of Mark’s passing. Mark was a great friend to grow up with and a great friend to stay young with. Though I hadn’t seen much of him lately, Mark holds a special place in my life that will now remain empty and I know that I will miss him and think of him often for the rest of my life.
My condolences to the whole family.
